대전광역시의회 조원휘 의장을 비롯한 지역 정치권 인사들이 한국전력공사가 추진 중인 ‘신계룡-북천안 송전선로 건설사업’의 즉각적인 중단과 전면 재검토를 강력히 촉구하고 나섰다.
조원휘 의장과 이택구 국민의힘 유성구갑 당협위원장, 김동수 유성구의회 의장 등 대전 지역 선출직 공직자 및 예비후보자 일동은 9일 오전 대전시의회에서 기자회견을 열고, 이번 사업이 수도권 첨단산업단지에 전력을 공급하기 위해 대전과 충청권을 희생시키는 ‘수도권 편향적 행정’의 산물이라고 비판했다.
이들은 이번 사업이 충남 계룡에서 북천안까지 이어지는 약 62km 구간에 345kV 초고압 송전선로를 구축하는 것으로, 그 실체는 용인 국가반도체산단 등 수도권 전력 수요를 충당하기 위한 ‘전력 수송로 확보’에 불과하다고 지적했다.
