본청 및 교육지원청 직원 대상 순차 교육 실시…
사례 중심 강의로 법 위반 예방
대전광역시교육청이 오는 6월 치러지는 제9회 전국동시지방선거를 대비해 공직사회의 엄정한 선거 중립 기강 확립에 나섰다.
대전교육청은 본청과 동·서부교육지원청 전 직원을 대상으로 공무원의 정치적 중립 준수와 선거법 위반 방지를 위한 ‘공직선거법 예방 교육’을 순차적으로 진행한다고 9일 밝혔다.
이번 교육은 선거관리위원회 소속 지도담당관을 강사로 초청해 이론보다는 현장에서 발생하기 쉬운 실무 사례를 중심으로 구성됐다.
주요 교육 내용은 공무원의 선거 중립 의무 및 준수 사항 ,시기별 제한·금지 규정 ,정당법 및 정치자금법 위반 사례 등 공직자가 반드시 숙지해야 할 법적 규제 사항들이다. 교육청은 이를 통해 무의식적인 선거 관여 행위를 차단하고 공정한 교육 행정을 구현한다는 방침이다.
고영규 시교육청 총무과장은 “공직자가 엄격하게 정치적 중립을 지키는 것은 교육 행정의 신뢰도를 결정짓는 핵심 요소”라며 “이번 교육이 직원들에게 선거법을 명확히 이해시키는 계기가 되어, 단 한 건의 선거 논란도 발생하지 않는 투명한 공직 문화를 만드는 밑거름이 되길 바란다”고 강조했다.
교육은 기관별 일정에 따라 맞춤형으로 진행되고 있다. 서부교육지원청은 지난 4일 이미 교육을 마쳤으며, 대전시교육청 본청과 동부교육지원청은 오는 13일에 각각 교육을 실시할 예정이다.

Preventing Legal Violations Through Case-Based Lectures
The Daejeon Metropolitan Office of Education has set out to establish strict discipline of election neutrality within the public service in preparation for the 9th National Simultaneous Local Elections to be held this coming June.
The Daejeon Office of Education announced on the 9th that it will sequentially conduct "Public Official Election Act Prevention Education" for all employees of the headquarters and the East and West Education Support Offices to ensure public officials adhere to political neutrality and prevent election law violations.
This training features guidance officers from the National Election Commission as instructors and is structured around practical cases likely to occur in the field rather than theory.
Key training contents include legal regulations that public officials must be fully familiar with, such as: public officials' duties regarding election neutrality and compliance requirements; ,regulations on restrictions and prohibitions by period; and ,cases of violations of the Political Parties Act and the Political Funds Act. Through this, the Office of Education plans to block unconscious election interference and realize fair educational administration.

The training is being conducted in a customized manner according to the schedules of each institution. The Western Education Support Office already completed its training on the 4th, while the Daejeon City Office of Education headquarters and the Eastern Education Support Office are scheduled to conduct their training on the 13th.
