더불어민주당 충남도지사 경선 결선에 진출한 양승조 예비후보가 9일 천안에서 기자회견을 열고 본선 경쟁력과 위기 관리 능력을 강조하며 당원과 도민들의 지지를 호소했다.
양 예비후보는 이날 회견에서 최근 발생한 미국과 이스라엘의 이란 공습에 따른 '호르무즈 봉쇄 사태'를 언급하며 충남 경제에 닥친 위기 상황을 진단했다.
그는 유가 급등과 원자재 가격 상승으로 대산석유화학단지의 국세 수입이 반토막 나고 노동자들이 희망퇴직 위기에 처한 현실을 지적했다.
특히 "충남 농민들이 비료값, 난방비, 유류비 등 삼중고에 시달리고 있다"며, 이재명 대통령의 '26조 원 규모 전쟁추경' 결단을 도정 성과로 연결할 수 있는 '검증된 파트너'가 필요하다고 역설했다.
양 후보는 "취임 즉시 대산단지와 당진 철강 현장을 찾아 산업위기대응지역 지정을 조기 완성하고 농민 보조금을 도비로 추가 지원하겠다"고 약속했다.
