광주시립수목원, ‘작은 씨앗의 거대한 세계’ Art-SEM 사진전 개최

광주시 수목원·정원사업소는 오는 4월 21일부터 5월 24일까지 수목원 방문자센터에서 국립백두대간수목원과 협력한 Art-SEM 사진 전시회 ‘작은 씨앗의 거대한 세계’를 개최한다고 밝혔다.

이번 전시의 핵심인 'Art-SEM'은 종자를 주사전자현미경으로 최대 30만 배까지 확대 촬영한 뒤, 그 흑백 이미지에 해당 식물의 꽃이나 열매 색을 입힌 작품을 말한다. 종자의 정교한 표면 질감과 독특한 패턴을 고해상도로 구현해내어 단순한 기록 사진을 넘어선 예술적 경험을 선사한다.

전시회에서는 국립백두대간수목원에서 자생하는 식물들을 중심으로 ▲애기똥풀, 정선황기, 등대시호 등 종자 Art-SEM 작품 22점과 ▲개버무리, 흰제비란, 함경나비나물 등 야생화 사진 18점 등 총 40점의 작품을 만나볼 수 있다.

관람 시간은 오전 9시부터 오후 5시까지이며, 수목원 휴관일인 매주 월요일을 제외하고 시민 누구나 무료로 관람할 수 있다.
