[브레이크뉴스=양영석 기자] 김해시는 2026년 1월 1일 이후 출생아부터 적용되는 출산축하금 지급기준을 전면 개편한다.
개정된 조례에 따라 출생 순위별 축하금이 대폭 상향되고, 지급 방식도 2회 분할 지급으로 변경돼 실질적인 영아기 양육비 지원에 중점을 둔다.
첫째아는 100만 원, 둘째아는 150만 원, 셋째 이상은 최대 400만 원까지 지급한다.
이전과 달리 지급은 출생 직후 1차 지급과 생후 12개월 경 2차 지급으로 나눠 이루어지며, 두 번째 지급 시 부모가 계속 김해시에 거주해야 한다.
신청은 출생신고와 함께 읍·면·동 행정복지센터에서 가능하며, 온라인 신청 절차도 간소화해 편리함을 더했다. 기존에 둘째아 출산축하상품권을 수령했어도 차액을 추가로 받을 수 있다.
신대호 부시장 권한대행은 "영아기 전체에 들어가는 양육비 부담을 경감하는 현실적 조치"라며 "앞으로도 다양한 출산·육아 지원책을 꾸준히 확대할 것"이라고 밝혔다.
이번 개편으로 김해시는 출산 가정의 경제적 부담 완화와 함께 지역 인구 증가 유도에 박차를 가할 계획이다.
