[브레이크뉴스 양주=김완영 기자] 경기도 양주도시공사(사장 이흥규)는 지난 4일, 양주시 교통약자와 부모님을 위한 ‘행복 동행여행’을 실시했다고 밝혔다.
행복 동행여행은 평소 야외 활동이 부족하거나 이동이 어려운 양주시 교통약자와 부모님을 대상으로 실시하는 프로그램으로 2018년 공사 제안제도로 채택되어 매년 실시되고 있으며 이용자들의 의견을 반영해 올해부터 운영 횟수를 기존 연 2회에서 3회로 확대하였다.
이번 행복 동행여행은 2026년 제1회로 10가족(교통약자 11명, 부모님 10명)이 참여했으며 공사에서 지원한 인력과 차량인솔을 통해 관내 양주시 장흥관광지에서 문화, 과학, 역사 체험 등 힐링 프로그램을 통해 교통약자와 소통하는 뜻깊은 행사로 진행되었다.
특히, 이번 여행은 따뜻한 봄을 맞아 교통약자와 부모님이 함께 야외활동을 즐기며 휴식과 소통의 시간을 갖는 뜻깊은 자리로 마련되었다.
동행여행에 참여한 참가자들은 “평소 외부활동이 쉽지 않았는데 이번 여행을 통해 가족과 소중한 시간을 보낼 수 있었다”며 “좋은 기회를 마련해 준 양주도시공사에 감사하다”고 전했다.
