충남 태안군 구매항 인근 좌대낚시터에서 수중 작업을 하던 50대 잠수사가 실종되어 해경이 긴급 수색에 나섰다.
태안해양경찰서는 10일 낮 12시 44분경, 태안군 구매항 인근 좌대낚시터에서 가두리 망줄 작업을 위해 입수했던 잠수사 A씨(50대, 남성)가 보이지 않는다는 신고를 접수했다고 밝혔다.
해경 조사에 따르면 사고 당시 현장에는 2명의 잠수사가 함께 입수해 작업을 진행했다. 동료 잠수사는 낮 12시경부터 A씨의 모습이 보이지 않자 자체 수색을 벌였으나 끝내 찾지 못해 해경에 도움을 요청한 것으로 확인됐다.
신고를 받은 태안해경은 영목파출소와 오천파출소의 연안구조정을 비롯해 경비함정, 태안구조대, 헬기 등 가용한 모든 구조 세력을 현장에 급파했다. 현재 해경은 사고 지점을 중심으로 해상과 공중에서 입체적인 수색 작업을 이어가고 있다.
태안해경 관계자는 "실종된 잠수사를 찾기 위해 가용 인력과 장비를 총동원해 수색에 최선을 다하고 있다"고 전했다.
