취약계층 자립 지원 등 사회적 가치 실현 앞장
이비티에스(EBTS) 협동조합 대전지점이 ‘제46회 장애인의 날’을 앞두고 지역 장애인들을 위한 나눔 활동에 나서며 사회적 귀감이 되고 있다.
이비티에스 협동조합 대전지점(총괄지점장 박종천)은 오는 4월 23일 개최 예정인 ‘제46회 장애인의 날 기념행사’의 성공적인 개최를 위해 (사)대전광역시장애인단체총연합회(회장 문선우)에 기념품 구입비 100만 원과 200만 원 상당의 건강식품 등 총 300만 원 상당의 금품을 전달했다고 10일 밝혔다.
이번 후원은 장애인에 대한 사회적 편견을 해소하고 장애인의 권익을 증진하기 위해 마련된 기념행사의 취지에 동참하기 위해 기획됐다. 평소 취약계층의 안정적인 일자리 창출과 자립 기반 마련에 주력해 온 이비티에스 협동조합은 이번 기탁을 통해 지역사회 내 존중과 배려의 문화를 확산하는 데 힘을 보탰다.
박종천 총괄지점장은 “우리 주변의 장애인 당사자와 지역사회 구성원 모두가 함께 즐기고 소통하는 뜻깊은 행사가 되길 바라는 마음에서 후원을 결정했다”며 “앞으로도 사회적 약자의 자립을 돕고 고용 기회를 확대하는 등 지역사회와 상생하며 사회적 책임을 다하는 협동조합이 되겠다”고 강조했다.
이에 대해 (사)대전광역시장애인단체총연합회 관계자는 “이비티에스 협동조합의 따뜻한 관심 덕분에 장애인의 날 기념행사가 더욱 풍성하고 의미 있게 준비되고 있다”며 감사의 인사를 전했다.
