[브레이크뉴스=양영석 기자] 김해시가 도시 경쟁력 강화를 위한 미래 전략 수립에 본격적으로 나섰다. 선진 도시 사례를 직접 확인하고 정책에 반영하기 위한 현장 중심 행보다.
김해시는 지난 9일부터 10일까지 1박 2일 일정으로 인천 송도 일원에서 벤치마킹을 실시했다고 밝혔다. 이번 일정은 타 지자체의 우수 정책을 분석해 김해형 미래 성장 전략을 도출하기 위한 것으로, 시 공무원과 공공기관 관계자, 정책자문위원 등 40여 명이 참여했다.
벤치마킹은 △지능형 도시 △문화관광(MICE) △산업생태계 등 핵심 분야를 중심으로 진행됐다. 참가자들은 스마트시티 통합운영 체계와 글로벌 투자유치 전략, 수변 관광 및 컨벤션 산업 운영 사례 등을 집중적으로 살폈다.
특히 스마트시티 통합운영센터와 경제자유구역 운영 기관을 방문해 AI 기반 행정 시스템과 투자유치 모델을 분석하고, 수변 공간을 활용한 관광 인프라와 국제회의 산업 운영 방식도 현장에서 점검했다. 이는 김해시가 추진 중인 스마트 행정과 관광·산업 융합 정책에 직접적인 참고 모델이 될 전망이다.
김해시는 이번 벤치마킹을 토대로 △AI 기반 스마트 행정 고도화 △민관 협력형 투자유치 체계 구축 △해반천·가야 유적지 일원 야간경관 조성 △복합 수변 관광 거점 개발 △MICE 산업 육성 등 핵심 정책을 단계적으로 구체화할 계획이다.
아울러 부서 간 협업을 강화하고 공공기관 및 정책자문위원회와의 연계를 통해 정책 실행력을 높이는 후속 사업도 추진한다는 방침이다. 단순한 사례 조사에 그치지 않고 실제 사업으로 이어지는 ‘실행형 벤치마킹’에 초점을 맞추겠다는 것이다.
김해시 관계자는 “이번 벤치마킹은 김해에 적합한 정책 모델을 찾는 데 중점을 뒀다”며 “현장 중심의 정책 연구를 통해 시민이 체감할 수 있는 미래 전략을 마련해 나가겠다”고 밝혔다.
