Integrating DJ Performance Party into Traditional Heritage Royal Temple Site in Yangju Hoeamsaji
A program attempted for the first time at the Hoeamsaji Royal Festival... An attempt to broaden the audience base by combining traditional heritage with DJ performances.
[Break News Yangju = Reporter Kim Wan-young] Yangju City, Gyeonggi Province, will introduce a DJ party for the first time at the "9th Yangju Hoeamsaji Royal Festival."
The city will host the "Byeolsan's Hoeamsaji Seal Unsealing DJ Party" at the main stage of Hoeamsaji on the upcoming 18th at 8 PM. The performance is expected to last approximately 30 minutes.
This program marks the first instance of a DJ performance being organized for a festival held at the site of the royal temple, Hoeamsa.
The performance will feature professional DJing, and "Byeolsan," the social media character of Yangju City, will join the stage to interact with the audience and liven up the atmosphere.
The stage is designed to combine music and video production, and the event is planned as a performance that transforms the static atmosphere of the historic site through DJing and on-site performances. Yangju City plans to release performance videos filmed at the festival site on the YouTube channel "Yangju Byeolsan" in the future. The channel currently has approximately 87,600 subscribers.
This initiative was pursued amidst a recent trend in local government festivals to strengthen nighttime content and expand the influx of young people. Yangju City plans to reinforce its nighttime programs and encourage longer stays at the festival by introducing DJ parties.
A Yangju City official stated, "This is a program being attempted for the first time at the Hoeamsaji Royal Festival," adding, "It is an attempt to broaden the audience by combining traditional heritage with DJ performances."
