2026년 단양교육지원청영재교육원은 단양중을 중심교로 하여 중등융합, 발명의 총 2개 과정으로 운영되며, 초등학교 4학년부터 중학교 3학년 학생들을 대상으로 창의적 사고력과 융합적 역량을 키우는 맞춤형 교육이 이루어질 예정이다.
이날 개강식에는 28명의 영재교육대상 학생과 학부모, 교육지원청 및 학교 관계자들이 참석한 가운데 입학허가 선언, 신입생 선서, 교육장 인사 말씀, 지도강사 소개 등이 진행되었다. 이어 과정별 오리엔테이션과 학부모 대상 수업 공개가 함께 열려 영재교육에 대한 이해를 높이는 기회가 되었다.
