대전 유성구가 행정 전반에 데이터 기반 의사결정을 정착시키며 ‘데이터 행정 선도 지자체’로서 위상을 굳혔다.
유성구는 행정안전부가 실시한 ‘2025년도 데이터기반행정 실태점검 및 평가’에서 3년 연속 ‘우수’ 등급을 받았다고 13일 밝혔다. 이번 평가는 중앙행정기관, 지방자치단체, 공기업 및 준정부기관 등 총 684개 기관을 대상으로 데이터 관리·분석·활용 등 3개 분야 11개 지표를 기준으로 수행됐다.
유성구는 전 부서가 데이터 행정의 가치를 공유할 수 있도록 ‘우수부서 평가 제도’를 운영하며, 적극적인 데이터 활용 문화를 확산시켜왔다. 특히 자체 구축한 ‘유성 데이터통합플랫폼’을 통해 행정 데이터를 체계적으로 수집·연계·분석할 수 있는 기반을 마련한 점에서 높은 평가를 받았다.
공직자 데이터 역량 강화를 위한 교육 확대와 함께, 대학·연구기관·기업 등과의 협력을 통해 분석 전문가 양성, 정책 연구, 실증 사업 등 지역 맞춤형 데이터 활용 모델을 구축해온 점도 주목받았다.
또한 AI(인공지능) 기술을 활용한 주차민원 보이스봇, 다국어 민원 서비스, 예산·회계 지원 시스템 등 민원 편의를 높이는 행정혁신을 추진했으며, 기관 간 협력 강화를 위해 ‘데이터 기반 행정 포럼’을 개최해 우수사례 공유와 공동과제 발굴에도 앞장섰다.
아울러 청렴, 건축, 복지, 민원 등 생활 밀착형 행정 분야에서도 데이터 분석 결과를 정책 수립과 평가에 반영해, 데이터 기반 의사결정 체계를 실질적으로 정착시켰다는 점이 이번 평가에서 긍정적으로 작용했다.
