김해시 위탁 유기동물보호소에서 유기견을 반려 목적으로 입양한 시민을 대상으로 내장형 동물등록비를 포함해 입양 후 발생하는 치료비, 예방접종비, 중성화수술비, 미용비, 펫보험 가입비, 사회화 교육훈련비 등을 지원한다.

시는 실제 발생한 비용의 60%까지로 마리당 최대 15만원을 지원받는다.

지원을 받기 위해서는 입양견의 내장형 동물등록을 완료하고, 동물사랑배움터 누리집에서 ‘입양예정자 교육’을 반드시 수료해야 한다. 신청은 입양 후 1년 이내에 가능하다.
