시는 이번 성과를 바탕으로 학생들의 실질적인 정착을 유도하기 위해 전입지원금 제도도 함께 운영하고 있다. 전입지원금은 주소를 이전한 대학생이 1년 이상 주소를 유지하면 최대 70만 원을 제천화폐 혹은 배달모아 마일리지로 지원하는 제도로, 올해는 5월 중 각 대학교를 통해 신청을 받아 6월부터 12월까지 지급할 예정이다.
