이번 견학 프로그램은 유아 도서 추천 서비스 제공을 비롯해 미디어 콘텐츠 ‘책 읽어주는 고양이’를 활용한 그림책 읽기, 도서관 이용 교육, 책놀이 프로그램 등으로 구성됐다.
특히 전문 강사의 그림책 읽어주기와 신체활동을 결합한 체험형 독서 활동인 책놀이 프로그램은 어린이집의 높은 관심과 호응을 얻으며, 11월 말까지 총 20회 운영 일정에 대한 참가 신청이 모두 마감됐다.
곽명영 행복교육과장은 “책놀이와 함께 진행되는 도서관 견학 프로그램은 아이들이 책을 친숙하게 느끼고 도서관을 즐거운 공간으로 인식하는 데 큰 도움이 된다”며 “앞으로도 어릴 때부터 자연스럽게 독서습관을 형성할 수 있도록 다양한 견학 및 체험형 독서 프로그램을 지속적으로 확대해 나가겠다”고 말했다.
한편, 올해 가양도서관 어린이자료실 견학 프로그램에는 3월 말 기준 5개소 어린이집에서 약 120여 명의 유아와 교사가 참여했다.
