【충북 브레이크뉴스】임창용 기자=충주시는 의료시설 접근이 어려운 농촌지역 주민들을 위해 ‘농촌 왕진버스’사업을 추진한다고 14일 밝혔다.
농촌 왕진버스는 병·의원, 약국 등 의료 인프라가 도심에 비해 부족한 농촌지역을 대상으로 전문 의료진의 진료와 다양한 건강교육, 상담 등 찾아가는 보건·의료서비스를 제공하는 사업이다.
올해 충주시는 1억2천만 원의 사업비를 확보해, 4개소(중앙탑, 대소원, 엄정․소태, 앙성) 순회 방식으로 사업을 진행한다.
각 지역별 운영기관으로는 충주농협(중앙탑), 서충주농협(대소원), 동충주농협(엄정, 소태), 북충주농협(앙성)이 등이 참여해 의료 취약지역 농업인들을 위한 검진을 실시한다.
첫 운영은 충주농협이 오는 15일 충청북도단재교육연수원 북부분원에서 시작하며, 이후 지역별 장소를 확정해 순차 운영할 계획이다.
검진에서는 침술․부황․물리치료 등 한방진료와 시력측정 및 돋보기 제공과 함게 혈압체크․한방의약품 제공 등 다양한 의료서비스를 약 300여 명의 주민들에게 제공해 의료 만족도를 높일 예정이다.
한편, 15일 현장에는 충주시장 권한대행 김진석 부시장을 비롯해 농협 충북본부장, 충주시지부장, 농협 관계자 등이 참석해 운영 상황을 확인하고 의료진 등을 격려할 예정이다.
