【충북 브레이크뉴스】임창용 기자=충북 영동군은 산불 대응 역량 강화를 위해 일반공무원 진화대를 대상으로 ‘산불 기본교육’을 실시했다.
이번 교육은 산림재난 대응 체계 강화를 위해 편성된 일반공무원 진화대 150명을 대상으로, 지난 13일부터 14일까지 과일나라테마공원 대회의실에서 3차에 걸쳐 진행됐다.
교육은 한국산림재난안전기술공단 전문 강사를 초빙해 산불 발생 원리와 확산 메커니즘, 현장 대응 전략, 진화 장비 사용법 등 실무 중심 내용으로 운영됐다.
특히 최근 대형산불과 기후변화로 인한 산불 위험 증가에 대응해 공무원들의 현장 대응 능력과 안전의식을 강화하는 데 중점을 두고 추진됐다.
앞서 군은 산불 발생 시 신속하고 체계적인 대응을 위해 일반공무원 150명으로 구성된 진화대를 편성하고, 단계별 대응 기준에 따라 비상소집 체계를 운영하고 있다.
산불 2단계(피해 면적 50 이상 100㏊ 미만) 발령 시에는 일반공무원 진화대 50명을 1차로 신속 동원하고, 산불 3단계(피해 면적 100㏊ 이상) 시에는 전체 150명을 2차 소집해 대응하는 등 단계별 인력 투입 체계를 구축했다.
군은 이번 교육을 통해 진화대원의 현장 대응 역량을 한층 강화하고, 산불 발생 시 군민의 생명과 재산을 보호하는 데 총력을 기울일 방침이다.
군 관계자는 “산불은 초기 대응이 무엇보다 중요한 재난인 만큼, 체계적인 교육과 훈련을 통해 대응 역량을 지속적으로 강화해 나가겠다”며 “군민 안전 확보를 위해 선제적 대응에 최선을 다하겠다”고 말했다.
