충청남도가 태풍과 호우 등 여름철 자연재해로부터 도민의 생명과 재산을 보호하기 위해 시군 지자체와 함께 대응 체계를 정밀 재검토했다.
이를 위해 충남도는 14일 도청 재난상황실에서 홍종완 행정부지사 주재로 ‘2026년 여름철 자연재난 사전대비 도-시군 2차 점검회의’를 열고, 기관별 준비 상황을 심층 점검했다.
이번 회의에는 충남도 관련 부서와 15개 시군 부단체장이 참여해 홍수 방지 대책과 취약 지역 관리 방안을 논의했다.
충남도는 본격적인 홍수기가 시작되기 전까지 하천과 저수지 등 주요 방재 시설에 대한 점검을 완료한다는 계획이다. 특히 하천 내 불법 시설물을 정비하고 바닥에 쌓인 퇴적토를 준설해 물의 흐름을 원활하게 하는 ‘통수능력 확보’에 주력하기로 했다.
또한 농업용 저수지와 배수 시설에 대한 사전 점검을 실시하고, 실제 상황 발생 시 즉각적인 대응이 가능하도록 비상대처 훈련도 병행한다.
지난 피해 지역의 복구 현장과 대형 공사장에 대한 안전관리도 강화된다. 도는 우기 전까지 주요 재해복구 사업을 마무리해 2차 피해를 원천 차단한다는 방침이다.
