충남 서천군의 향후 4년을 책임질 차기 군 금고로 NH농협은행 서천군지부가 선정됐다.
서천군은 지난 10일 군청 대외협력실에서 ‘서천군 금고지정 심의위원회’를 개최하고, NH농협은행 서천군지부를 차기 금고 운용 기관으로 최종 지정했다고 밝혔다.
이번 금고 지정은 「지방회계법」 및 「서천군 금고지정 및 운영 규칙」에 따라 공개경쟁 방식으로 추진됐다. 다만, 제안서를 제출한 금융기관이 NH농협은행 1곳에 그치면서 관련 규정에 따라 수의방법으로 전환해 심의위원회 심의를 거쳐 최종 확정됐다.
심의위원회는 금융기관의 대내외적 신용도와 재무구조의 안정성, 군에 대한 대출 및 예금금리, 지역주민 이용 편의성, 금고 업무 관리능력, 지역사회 기여 및 군과의 협력사업 등 5개 분야 19개 세부 항목을 정밀하게 검토해 적격성을 판정했다.
이번 선정에 따라 NH농협은행 서천군지부는 오는 2027년 1월 1일부터 2030년 12월 31일까지 4년간 서천군의 안방살림을 맡게 된다. 일반회계와 공기업 특별회계를 포함한 특별회계, 각종 기금의 수납 및 지출 등 자금 관리 전반을 수행할 예정이다.
