의왕시-세스코, 취약계층 아동 위해 ‘청정 주거환경’ 맞손

의왕시가 취약계층 아동들이 해충과 감염병 걱정 없는 쾌적한 환경에서 성장할 수 있도록 민관 협력 방역 체계를 가동한다.

의왕시는 지난 14일 종합 환경위생 기업인 ㈜세스코와 ‘2026년 아이안심 드림홈케어’ 사업 추진을 위한 업무협약을 체결했다고 밝혔다. 이번 협약은 주거 환경이 열악한 드림스타트 사례 관리 대상 아동 가구에 체계적인 위생 서비스를 제공하기 위해 마련됐다.

협약에 따라 의왕시는 방역이 시급한 가구를 발굴해 추천하고, 정리수납 전문가 등 자원봉사자와 연계하여 가정 내 위생 교육을 병행한다. ㈜세스코는 전문 장비와 인력을 투입해 해충 방제, 약제 도포, 침입 경로 차단 등 고도화된 방역 서비스를 제공하며, 특히 이용 금액의 23%를 협력 기관 차원에서 지원해 나눔의 의미를 더하기로 했다.

단순 방역 활동 외에도 보호자가 스스로 청결한 환경을 유지할 수 있도록 돕는 ‘자가 위생 관리 역량 강화’ 교육이 3회에 걸쳐 실시될 예정이다. 시는 이를 통해 방역 효과의 지속성을 높이고 아동의 주거 안정성을 근본적으로 개선한다는 방침이다.

Uiwang City is launching a public-private partnership disinfection system to ensure that children from vulnerable backgrounds can grow up in a pleasant environment free from concerns about pests and infectious diseases.
