군은 김경희 단양군수 권한대행 겸 부군수 주재로 국·과장, 읍·면장 등 36명이 참석한 가운데 여름철 자연재난 사전대비 회의를 열고 대응체계를 점검했다고 14일 밝혔다.
재난 발생 시 즉각 대응할 수 있도록 군은 방재 물자와 장비를 확보하고, 취약시설에 대한 현장점검을 강화하는 한편 하천과 산사태 등 인명피해 우려지역에 대한 사전점검과 예방조치를 본격 추진할 계획이다.
아울러 오는 5월 14일까지 여름철 자연재난 사전대비 점검을 마무리하고, 점검 과정에서 확인된 미흡사항은 즉시 보완할 예정이다.
이어 5월 15일부터는 여름철 자연재난 대책기간에 돌입해 인명피해 최소화에 행정력을 집중할 방침이다.
특히 군은 최근 기상이변으로 국지성 호우와 돌발성 재난 가능성이 커지고 있는 만큼 현장 중심 대응체계를 강화해 군민의 생명과 재산 보호에 만전을 기한다는 구상이다.
