대전시가 시민과 근로자의 안전을 확보하고 중대재해를 원천 차단하기 위해 전문 기관과 손을 맞잡았다.
대전시는 4월 15일 시청 시민안전실에서 대한산업안전협회 대전지역본부와 '중대재해 예방 강화를 위한 업무협약'을 체결했다. 이번 협약은 민·관이 협력하여 시가 관리하는 시설물과 사업장의 안전 관리 체계를 고도화하고, 중대시민재해 및 중대산업재해를 효과적으로 예방하겠다는 의지가 담겼다.
양 기관은 이번 협약을 기점으로 시 관리 시설·사업장 중대재해 예방 공동 대응 ,안전 문화 확산을 위한 교육 및 캠페인 추진 ,안전 분야 신규 수요 발굴 및 협력 ,시설물 안정성 확보를 위한 기술 지원 및 합동 점검 등 폭넓은 분야에서 협력하기로 뜻을 모았다.
특히 올해는 공직자를 대상으로 한 실무 중심의 직무교육과 현장 시설물 합동점검을 중점적으로 추진하여, 실효성 있는 현장 밀착형 예방 활동을 전개할 방침이다.
신동헌 대전시 시민안전실장은 이번 협약에 대해 시민과 근로자의 생명을 보호하는 것이 시정의 가장 핵심적인 가치임을 강조하며, 앞으로 전문적인 안전 관리 시스템을 확립해 중대재해 예방 수준을 한 단계 더 도약시키겠다고 밝혔다.
