학교 안에서 발생한 충격적인 흉기 상해 사건을 두고 교육 당국과 교원 단체가 머리를 맞댔다.

이어 송하종 교육국장 등 교육청 주요 관계자들과 진행된 긴급 간담회에서는 피해 교사에 대한 실질적 보호 방안이 중점적으로 논의됐다.
간담회에서 전교조 측이 요구한 피해 교사 지원책에 대해 교육청은 즉각적인 응답을 내놨다.
교육청은 “현재 시스템을 가동해 피해 교사의 치료비와 심리 치료를 전적으로 지원할 것”이라며 “특히 수사 기관 조사 시 교사의 심리적 부담을 줄여주기 위해 ‘변호사 동행 서비스’를 우선 지원하겠다”고 답했다.
또한 사건 발생 이후 무분별한 언론 노출로 인한 2차 피해를 막기 위해 대응 창구를 논산계룡교육지원청으로 단일화하기로 했다.
