더불어민주당 대전 동구청장 경선 과정에서 컷오프(공천배제)된 정유선 예비후보가 황인호 예비후보에 대한 지지를 공식 선언하며 힘을 보탰다.
정 예비후보는 15일 대전시의회에서 기자회견을 열고 “지금 동구에 필요한 것은 단순한 변화가 아니라 확실한 결과를 만들어내는 리더십”이라며 황인호 예비후보 지지 이유를 밝혔다.
정 예비후보는 황 후보에 대해 “전 동구청장으로서 오랜 기간 현장의 목소리를 경청하며 지역사회의 다양한 문제를 해결하기 위해 실질적인 정책을 추진해 왔다”고 평가했다. 이어 “주민 중심 행정, 균형 있는 지역 발전, 투명한 소통을 중요한 가치로 삼아온 황 후보의 철학과 실천 의지가 동구 발전에 큰 힘이 될 것이라 확신한다”며 지지를 호소했다.
