이날 준공식은 최재형 보은군수와 윤대성 보은군의회 의장을 비롯해 군의원, 기관·단체장, 지역아동센터 및 어린이집 관계자, 평생학습 동아리, 청년단체 등 200여 명이 참석한 가운데 진행됐다.
‘보은군 이음센터’는 영유아부터 청년, 중장년, 노년층까지 생애주기 전반을 아우르는 통합 복지 공간으로, 군민 공모를 통해 공식 명칭이 확정된 시설이다.
세대 간 소통과 연결, 배움과 성장을 담아낸 이름처럼 다양한 삶의 단계가 한 공간에서 자연스럽게 이어지는 지역 공동체 거점으로 조성됐다.
연면적 5,588㎡, 지상 4층 규모로 건립된 이음센터는 총사업비 240억 원(지방소멸대응기금 180억 원, 군비 60억 원)이 투입된 사업으로 지역 정주 여건 개선과 생활 인프라 확충을 위해 추진됐다.
