【충북 브레이크뉴스】임창용 기자=충청북도교육청은 15일 오전, 충북대학교사범대학부설고등학교 정문에서 학생자치회, 흥덕경찰서와 함께 <학생 주도형 교통안전 캠페인 ‘안전 하이파이브’>를 실시했다.
이번 캠페인은 등하굣길 교통사고를 예방하고, 전동킥보드(PM) 안전수칙 준수를 통한 올바른 이용 문화를 확산하기 위해 마련됐다.
<전동킥보드 면허 따고, 헬멧 쓰고, 나 혼자 탄다!>라는 슬로건 아래 윤건영 교육감을 비롯한 학생자치회와 교직원, 교육청 관계자, 경찰 등 약 40여 명이 참여해 등교 시간대 홍보 활동을 펼쳤다.
학생들은 리플릿과 피켓을 활용해 또래 학생들에게 전동킥보드 이용 시 면허증 소지(16세 이상), 보호장비 착용, 2인 이상 탑승 금지, 무단 방치 금지 등 주요 안전수칙과 위반 시 처벌 내용을 안내했으며, <안전한 학교, 당신의 원픽(Pick)은?>을 주제로 한 안전 인식 조사도 함께 진행했다.
학생 주도로 진행된 이번 캠페인은 또래 간 공감을 바탕으로 교통안전 실천을 유도하는 계기가 될 것으로 기대된다.
윤건영 교육감은 “학생들이 스스로 안전을 지키기 위해 캠페인을 기획하고 참여하는 모습이 매우 의미 있다”라며, “전동킥보드 안전은 개인의 문제가 아니라 모두의 안전과 직결되는 만큼, 학생·교직원·학부모·지역사회가 함께 책임을 나누는 안전문화가 학교 현장에 자리 잡기를 기대한다.”라고 말했다.
한편 충북교육청은 13일(월)부터 17일(금)까지를 <안전주간>으로 지정하고, 학생 주도형 교통안전 캠페인을 비롯해 숨은 위험 찾기, 안전 인식 조사, 안전 캠페인 방송 등 다양한 실천 중심 프로그램을 운영하고 있다.
