이번 교육은 「장애인복지법」 제25조 및 같은 법 시행령 제16조에 따라 실시하는 법정 의무교육으로, 장애에 대한 올바른 인식 형성과 포용적 조직문화 조성을 위해 마련됐다.
교육은 마선옥 사람존중교육원 대표를 초청해 <장애가 장애가 되지 않게>를 주제로, 일상 속 장애에 대한 편견과 오해를 돌아보고 장애 특성에 대한 이해를 높이기 위한 사례 중심 강의로 진행됐으며, 일상에서 실천할 수 있는 존중과 배려의 방법도 함께 다뤘다.
이번 교육을 통해 직원들은 장애를 바라보는 인식을 재정립하고, 서로를 동등한 존재로 존중하는 태도를 확산해 나갈 것으로 기대된다.
김영순 창의특수교육과장은 “장애 특성을 고려한 환경이 조성될 때 누구나 자신의 역량을 발휘할 수 있다.”라며 “이번 교육이 조직 내 인식 개선과 포용적 문화 형성에 기여하길 기대한다.”라고 말했다.
충북교육청은 장애인식개선교육을 연 1회 이상 실시하고 대면교육과 원격연수를 병행 운영하는 등 지속적인 교육을 통해 장애공감문화 형성과 통합교육 기반을 마련하고 있다.
