(재)충주문화관광재단(이사장 백인욱)은 충주시 교육발전특구 시범사업의 일환으로 추진하는 ‘충주 청소년 예술단(극단․무용단)’이 4월부터 운영을 본격화하며 지역 미래세대의 창의적 역량 강화에 나선다고 밝혔다.
지난 2025년 창단해 2년 차를 맞이한 청소년 예술단은 충주시의 핵심 교육 사업으로, 지역 내 문화산업 인재를 양성하고 청소년들이 예술적 성취감을 경험하는 장을 제공하고 있다.
올해 청소년 극단은 단원들의 독창적인 표현력을 높이는 뮤지컬 중심의 커리큘럼을 도입해 단순 연기 지도를 넘어 관객과 호흡할 수 있는 무대 구성을 통해 예술적 흥미를 극대화할 방침이다.
특히, 오는 6월 개최되는 ‘충주 다이브(DIVE) 페스티벌’에서 단원들이 직접 참여한 창작 뮤지컬을 선보이며 그간의 노력을 입증할 계획이다.
청소년 무용단은 발레와 한국무용 두 가지 장르를 병행하며 기초 체력과 기본기 강화에 주력한다.
