더불어민주당 대전 대덕구청장 후보로 김찬술 예비후보가 최종 확정됐다. 김 예비후보는 후보 확정 직후 입장문을 통해 구민과 당원들에게 감사의 뜻을 전하며, 본격적인 본선 승리를 향한 의지를 피력했다.
