전국 자치구 유일 ‘청년마을 만들기’ 선정…
국비 등 10억 규모 투입해 중구형 패키지 가동
대전 중구가 청년들의 지역 유입부터 일거리 실험, 그리고 안정적인 정착에 이르기까지 전 과정을 통합 지원하는 ‘중구형 청년 지원 패키지’ 사업을 본격적으로 추진한다.
이번 사업은 중구가 행정안전부와 고용노동부 등 중앙부처의 공모 사업에 잇따라 선정되면서 확보한 국비와 시비 등 총 10억 8,000만 원의 예산을 바탕으로 실행된다.
중구는 이를 통해 흩어져 있던 청년 정책을 ‘발굴-실험-자립’으로 이어지는 체계적인 순환 구조로 재편하고, 청년들이 스스로 삶의 터전을 일굴 수 있는 자립 중심지로 거듭나겠다는 구상이다.
첫 단계인 청년 발굴은 지역 청년 공간인 ‘청년모아’(사회적협동조합 세상만사 수탁)가 주도한다. 올해 고용노동부 주관 ‘청년도전 지원사업’에 선정된 중구는 구직을 단념한 청년 최대 52명을 모집해 사회 복귀를 돕는다.

중구는 관내 유휴 점포를 활용한 ‘청년창업 원스톱 지원사업’을 추진하여 선정된 6개소에 점포 임차료와 홍보비를 지원한다.
