이재명 대통령이 16일 "제조업 비중이 높은 입장에서 국가 명운을 걸고 파격 혁신에 나서야 한다"고 주장했다.
이 대통령은 이날 오전 청와대에서 열린 제30차 수석보좌관회의 모두 발언에서 "자유 무역 질서 퇴조·지정학적 리스크 심화로 글로벌 산업 무역 질서가 중대 전환점을 맞고 있다"며 이같이 말했다.
그러면서 "첨단 기술·인재를 국가 안보 차원서 중점 보호하고 혁신적 제품은 정부가 공공 조달로 먼저 수요 창출에 앞장서야 한다"며 "지방 제조 역량 혁신·AI(인공지능) 기반 제조 생태계 구축·안정적 제조 주권 확보를 위한 한국판 국부펀드 설립 등에도 만전을 기해야 한다"고 했다.
또 "이번 중동 전쟁은 산업 구조 혁신·공급망 다변화 숙제와 함께 외교 위상·역할을 새롭게 돌아보는 계기를 제공했다"며 "한국은 세계 평화·국제 규범·인권 보호 등 보편적 가치를 더는 외면할 수도 해서도 안 되는 마땅한 채무를 가지며 장기적 차원서 더 큰 국익을 얻을 수 있도록 다른 나라·국민들 신뢰·존경을 차분히 쌓아가야 한다"고 했다.
