[브레이크뉴스=양영석 기자] 김해시는 지난 13일부터 15일까지 베트남 떠이닌성과 비엔호아시가 위치한 동나이성을 방문해 작년 7월 시행된 베트남 지방행정체계 개편에 따른 국제교류 협정 지속 여부를 논의하고 기존 협력 관계 재정비 방안을 협의했다.

김해시 대표단은 이번 방문을 통해 행정구역 개편 이후 새롭게 구성된 떠이닌성과 동나이성 외사국 실무진과 실무협의를 진행했다. 

특히 기존 비엔호아시와의 자매결연과 떠이닌성과의 우호결연 협정이 새로운 행정체계에서도 지속적으로 효력을 유지할 수 있도록 승계 절차와 재체결 필요성 등을 중점적으로 논의했다.

특히 이번 방문은 13~15일 떠이닌성에서 개최된 ‘TPO(아시아태평양도시 관광진흥기구) 베트남 지역회의’와 연계 추진돼 오는 2027년 김해에서 열릴 ‘TPO 총회’의 성공적인 개최를 위한 협력도 함께 요청했다.

동나이성 방문에서는 기존 비엔호아시와의 교류를 기반으로 협력 범위를 동나이성 전체로 확대하는 방안을 모색했으며, 특히 동나이성이 베트남의 새로운 물류·경제 중심지로 부상하고 있는 점을 고려해 협약 승계 여부와 연계한 경제·관광 등 실질적인 교류 확대 방안도 함께 논의했다.

김해시 전병화 행정과장은 “베트남은 동남아시아 지역의 주요 국제교류 파트너로, 행정체계 변화 속에서도 그동안 쌓아온 협력과 신뢰가 이어져야 한다”며 “이번 실무협의를 통해 교류 연속성을 확보하고 김해의 국제적 위상을 더욱 높이는 계기로 삼겠다”고 밝혔다.

한편, 베트남은 2025년 7월 국회 결의에 따라 기존 63개 지방 성·시를 34개로 통·폐합하는 등 지방행정체계를 개편했다.
