【브레이크뉴스 대구】이성현 기자=한국장학재단(이사장 박창달)은 대구청년창업센터 입주기업인 ㈜에듀원큐(대표 조광현·영남대학교 로봇공학과 4학년)가 중소벤처기업부 주관 ‘2026년 재도전성공패키지’ 사업에 최종 선정돼 5,500만 원 규모의 사업화 지원을 확보했다고 밝혔다.

에듀원큐가 개발한 ‘Docs-ONEQ’는 멀티모달 문서 지능(Document Intelligence) 기술이 적용된 AI 기반 실시간 문서 편집 데스크톱 솔루션이다. HWP, PDF, DOCX, XLS 등 다양한 비정형 문서 포맷 간 원본 서식 손상 없이 상호 변환할 수 있으며, AI가 문서를 직접 편집하는 ‘AI 에이전트 프로그램’ 기능을 갖췄다.
특히 공공기관과 기업의 망분리 보안 환경에서도 외부 클라우드 연결 없이 오프라인으로 구동돼 기밀 유출 우려 없이 활용할 수 있어 공공(B2G)·기업(B2B) 시장에서 높은 관심을 받고 있다.
에듀원큐는 비정형 멀티 포맷 무손실 상호 변환 핵심 기술과 관련해 특허 2건을 출원했으며, ISO 9001·14001·27001·45001 등 국제 인증 4종을 획득해 품질 경쟁력도 인정받았다. 또한 지역 대학과 고등학교를 대상으로 베타테스트를 진행하며 현장 적용 기반을 넓혀가고 있다.
조광현 대표는 “이전 창업 경험을 통해 외부 환경에 의존하는 사업 구조의 한계를 절감했고, 빅테크 기업도 단기간에 모방할 수 없는 딥테크 기술을 직접 개발하겠다는 각오로 재창업에 나섰다”며 “대구청년창업센터 입주를 통해 주거와 창업 공간 부담 없이 기술 개발에 집중할 수 있었고, 자문과 네트워킹 프로그램도 실질적인 도움이 됐다”고 말했다.
이어 “앞으로 Docs-ONEQ를 문서 작성의 비효율을 해소하는 지능형 AI 에이전트로 전국에 상용화해 업무 생산성의 패러다임을 바꾸겠다”고 포부를 밝혔다.
박창달 한국장학재단 이사장은 “에듀원큐의 성과는 실패를 딛고 독자 딥테크 기술로 재창업에 도전해 시장 가능성을 입증한 우수 사례”라며 “청년 창업가들이 다시 도전할 수 있도록 기회와 공간을 제공하고, 혁신 기술이 성장할 수 있도록 맞춤형 지원을 아끼지 않겠다”고 밝혔다.
한편 한국장학재단은 교육부 산하 준정부기관으로, 국가장학금과 학자금대출, 국가근로장학금 등 다양한 장학사업을 운영하고 있다. 아울러 서울·부산·대구·광주·대전 등 전국 5개 권역 창업기숙사를 통해 대학(원)생 창업가들에게 주거 및 창업공간을 무상 제공하며 청년창업 지원을 확대하고 있다.

‘Docs-ONEQ,’ developed by Edu-ONEQ, is an AI-based real-time document editing desktop solution equipped with Multimodal Document Intelligence technology. It can convert between various unstructured document formats, such as HWP, PDF, DOCX, and XLS, without damaging the original formatting, and features an ‘AI Agent Program’ function where the AI directly edits documents.
In particular, it is garnering significant interest in the public (B2G) and corporate (B2B) markets because it operates offline without external cloud connections, even in the security environments of public institutions and corporations with segregated networks, allowing for utilization without concerns regarding the leakage of confidential information.
EduOneQ has filed two patents related to its core technology for lossless interconversion of unstructured multi-formats and has been recognized for its quality competitiveness by acquiring four international certifications, including ISO 9001, 14001, 27001, and 45001. Furthermore, the company is expanding its foundation for field application by conducting beta tests targeting local universities and high schools.
CEO Cho Kwang-hyun stated, "Through my previous startup experience, I keenly felt the limitations of a business structure dependent on external factors. I embarked on this new venture with the determination to directly develop deep tech technologies that even big tech companies cannot replicate in the short term." He added, "Joining the Daegu Youth Startup Center allowed me to focus on technology development without the burden of housing and workspace costs, and the consulting and networking programs provided substantial assistance." He further expressed his ambition, stating, “Moving forward, we will commercialize Docs-ONEQ nationwide as an intelligent AI agent that resolves the inefficiencies of document creation, thereby changing the paradigm of work productivity.”

Meanwhile, the Korea Scholarship Foundation is a quasi-governmental organization under the Ministry of Education that operates various scholarship programs, including the National Scholarship, student loans, and the National Work-Study Scholarship. In addition, it is expanding support for youth entrepreneurship by providing free housing and workspaces to university and graduate student entrepreneurs through startup dormitories in five regions across the country, including Seoul, Busan, Daegu, Gwangju, and Daejeon.
