전남교육청과 LA한국교육원은 지난 17일(현지 시간) 미국 로스앤젤레스에 위치한 LA한국교육원에서 ‘제3회 내가 사랑하는 한국문화 발표대회’를 공동 개최했다고 밝혔다.
올해로 3회째를 맞이한 이번 대회는 ‘한국어교육 기반 국제교류 활성화 사업’의 핵심 프로그램이다. 해외 청소년들의 한국어 학습 의욕을 고취하고, 단순한 흥미를 넘어 한국 문화의 철학적 가치를 깊이 있게 이해할 수 있는 장을 마련하기 위해 기획되었다.
이번 대회에는 남가주(Southern California)를 비롯해 네바다, 애리조나 지역의 중·고등학교 한국어반 학생 50명이 대거 지원해 뜨거운 열기를 입증했다. 엄격한 예선 영상 심사를 거쳐 선발된 13명의 본선 진출자들은 무대 위에서 저마다의 시선으로 해석한 한국 문화를 유창한 한국어로 발표해 관객들의 큰 호응을 이끌어냈다.
