충청남도 계룡시가 시민들의 생활 편의를 높이고 보다 정확한 위치 정보 체계를 마련하기 위해 관내 사물주소판 일제 정비에 돌입한다.
‘사물주소’는 건물이 아닌 버스정류장, 택시 승강장, 전기차 충전소, 어린이공원 등 시민 생활과 밀접한 시설물이나 공간에 도로명주소법에 따라 부여하는 주소 정보이다.
과거 주소 체계가 건물 중심으로 운영되어 야외 시설물의 정확한 위치 파악에 어려움이 있었던 점을 보완하기 위해 도입된 제도로, 계룡시는 현재 주요 시설물 310개소에 사물주소판을 설치해 운영하고 있다.
천안시는 이달 30일까지 관내 설치된 모든 사물주소판을 대상으로 현장 전수 조사를 실시한다. 이번 조사에서는 사물주소판의 훼손 여부 및 망실 상태를 중점적으로 확인하고, 정보 오류가 있는 시설물은 정밀하게 보완할 계획이다.
천안시는 현장 조사 결과를 바탕으로 오는 5월 말까지 모든 정비를 마칠 방침이다. 이번 일제 조사가 완료되면 긴급 상황 발생 시 정확한 위치 파악이 가능해져 시민의 안전과 편의가 한층 강화될 것으로 기대된다.
