이날 정화 활동은 단양의 대표 관광지인 상상의 거리와 단양구경시장, 공영주차장 일원에서 진행됐다.
해당 구역은 주말 사이 많은 관광객이 다녀가며 쓰레기가 다량 발생한 곳으로, 참여자들은 도로변과 화단 등에 방치된 생활쓰레기를 꼼꼼히 수거하며 주변 환경 정비에 힘을 보탰다.
