【충북 브레이크뉴스】임창용 기자=충청북도교육청은 학교 밖 청소년의 학습 지속과 사회 적응을 지원하기 위해 <학교 밖 청소년 맞춤형 지원 프로그램>을 확대 운영한다.
도교육청은 매년 1,300여 명의 학업중단 학생이 발생하는 상황에서 학교 밖 청소년이 겪는 학습 단절과 진로 공백을 해소하기 위해 직속기관과 연계한 맞춤형 지원을 강화하고 있다.
이번 사업은 직속기관 프로그램 참여 대상을 학교 밖 청소년까지 확대하고, 맞춤형 프로그램을 지난해 6개에서 올해 15개로 늘려 교육·체험·문화·진로 영역 전반에서 지원을 강화한 것이 특징이다.
특히 ▲학생수련원 가족캠프 ▲해양교육원 해양체험 ▲교육연구정보원 미디어 진로체험 ▲진로교육원 직업체험 ▲교육도서관 독서·문화 프로그램 ▲교육문화원 공연 ▲자연과학교육원 과학·수학 체험 ▲국제교육원 체험 영어교실 ▲중원교육문화원 인문·독서 프로그램 등 직속기관별 특성을 살린 다양한 프로그램을 통해 청소년의 흥미와 적성에 맞는 참여 기회를 제공한다.
이와 함께 학교 밖 청소년의 학습 지속을 지원하기 위해 교통비·진로개발비·도서구입비를 지원하는 <맞춤형 지원 동행카드> 사업을 운영하고, 스마트기기와 교과서 지원을 통해 디지털 학습 환경을 보완할 계획이다.
충북교육청은 이번 지원 확대를 통해 학교 밖 청소년이 학습과 진로 탐색을 지속하고, 건강한 사회구성원으로 성장할 수 있도록 지원할 방침이다.
