충북대는 4월 16일 오전 11시 서울 엘타워에서 열린 ‘2026 국가산업대상’ 시상식에서 교육혁신 부문 대학으로 선정되며 수상의 영예를 안았다. 특히 이번 수상은 거점국립대학교 가운데 최초 사례로, 대학의 교육혁신 성과와 산업 연계 역량이 국가적으로 인정받았다는 점에서 의미가 크다.

글로벌 경쟁력 강화 역시 주요 성과로 꼽힌다. 55개국 300여 개 기관과의 국제협력을 바탕으로 국제학부 신설, 글로벌 학·석사 연계과정, 해외연수 프로그램 확대 등을 추진하며 세계 수준의 교육 환경을 조성하고 있다.
이와 함께 ‘지·산·학·연 협력체계(Quad-Helix)’를 구축해 지역 혁신 생태계 조성에도 앞장서고 있다. LINC 3.0 사업 최우수 A등급 획득, 창업중심대학 선정 등을 통해 기업·지자체·연구기관과의 협력 플랫폼을 강화하며 교육·연구·산업이 선순환하는 혁신 모델을 구현하고 있다.
