【충북 브레이크뉴스】임창용 기자=충북 괴산군은 16일 괴산스포츠타운에서 ‘2026 자연울림괴산 충청북도 게이트볼대회’를 개최했다.
지역 체육을 활성화하고 동호인 화합을 다지고자 마련한 이번 대회에는 충북 지역 게이트볼 동호인과 관계자 250여 명이 참가해 실력을 겨뤘다.
행사 주최는 괴산군체육회가, 주관은 괴산군게이트볼협회와 충북게이트볼협회가 공동으로 맡았다.
개회식에는 송인헌 괴산군수와 주요 내빈이 참석해 대회의 시작을 축하하고 선수들을 격려했다.
경기는 예선 리그전과 본선 토너먼트 방식으로 진행됐다.
36개 팀이 3개 팀씩 1조를 이뤄 예선을 치렀고 예선 결과에 따라 24개 팀이 본선에 진출해 최종 우승을 가렸다.
괴산군체육회와 군 게이트볼협회는 경기 진행과 현장 안내 업무를 지원하며 참가자들이 안전하고 쾌적한 환경에서 경기에 집중하도록 도왔다.
송인헌 군수는 “게이트볼은 남녀노소 누구나 즐길 수 있는 대표적인 생활체육 종목으로 지역 사회의 건강한 여가 문화를 이끌고 있다”며 “대회를 통해 동호인 간 우정과 화합이 더욱 깊어지길 바란다”고 말했다.
