【충북 브레이크뉴스】임창용 기자=충청북도교육청은 16일, 중원대학교와 지역사회와 연계한 스마트농업 인재 양성을 위한 업무협약을 체결했다.
이번 협약은 스마트농업 교육을 통해 미래 농생명 산업을 이끌 인재를 양성하고, 교육과 산업 현장의 연계를 강화하기 위해 추진됐다.
양 기관은 협약에 따라 ▲스마트농업 인재 양성을 위한 교육모델 공동 개발 ▲중원대학교 스마트팜 거점 교육센터 기반 교육 인프라 공동 활용 ▲스마트농업 교육과정 운영 및 교원 연수 지원 ▲지역사회·산업 연계 교육 거버넌스 구축 ▲기타 협력사업 추진 등에 협력하기로 했다.
이를 통해 현장 중심의 스마트농업 교육을 강화하고, 학생들의 진로 및 취업 역량을 높일 수 있는 기반을 마련할 계획이다.
장기원 중원대학교 총장은 “지역사회와 연계한 스마트농업 교육은 미래 농생명 산업을 이끌 핵심 인재 양성의 기반”이라며 “대학의 인프라와 교육 역량을 바탕으로 적극 협력하겠다.”라고 밝혔다.
윤건영 교육감은 “스마트농업은 기후위기와 식량안보 시대에 대응하는 미래 핵심 산업으로, 지역과 함께 현장에서 구현할 수 있는 인재 양성이 무엇보다 중요하다.”라며, “이번 협약을 통해 대학과 학교, 산업체가 유기적으로 협력하는 기반을 마련해 학생들이 스마트농업 분야의 핵심 인재로 성장할 수 있도록 적극 지원하겠다.”라고 말했다.
