대전 대덕구가 사회적 문제로 대두된 청년들의 고립과 은둔 현상을 해결하고, 이들의 안정적인 일상 복귀를 돕기 위한 체계적인 지원망 구축에 나섰다.
대덕구는 16일 대덕구가족센터와 ‘청년 고독사 예방 지원사업을 위한 업무협약’을 체결하고, 위기 청년 발굴 및 맞춤형 서비스 제공에 적극 협력하기로 했다.
최근 통계청과 한국보건사회연구원 자료에 따르면, 구직 실패나 대인관계의 어려움 등으로 인해 사회와 담을 쌓은 고립·은둔 청년은 전국적으로 약 54만 명에 이르는 것으로 나타났다.
특히 이로 인해 발생하는 사회경제적 손실 비용이 연간 7조 원에 달한다는 분석이 나오면서 지자체 차원의 실효성 있는 대책 마련이 절실한 상황이다.
이번 협약에 따라 양 기관은 장기간 사회적 단절을 겪고 있는 청년들을 위해 심리적 회복과 관계 형성을 돕는 다양한 프로그램을 본격 가동한다.
