7시간에 걸친 심야 추격전… 안영동 일대서 포획
마취총 발사 후 5분 만에 상황 종료
대전 오월드를 탈출해 인근 주민들을 불안에 떨게 했던 늑대 ‘늑구’가 탈출 10일 만인 17일 새벽 무사히 생포됐다.
대전시와 오월드 구조본부에 따르면, 지난 8일 오전 사육장을 이탈했던 늑구는 17일 00시 44분경 대전 중구 안영IC 인근에서 포획 완료됐다. 구조 직후 현장에 출동한 수의사가 검진한 결과, 늑구의 맥박과 체온은 모두 정상 범주 내에 있으며 건강 상태는 양호한 것으로 확인됐다.
늑구 검거를 위한 긴박한 수색 작업은 16일 오후부터 본격화됐다. 오후 5시 30분경 뿌리공원 일대에서 늑구로 추정되는 개체를 목격했다는 시민 제보가 접수되면서 수색팀이 급파됐다.

밤 9시 54분경 샛별농장 인근에서 한차례 오인 신고(오소리 확인)로 소동이 있었으나, 수색팀은 포기하지 않고 추적을 이어갔다. 마침내 밤 11시 45분경 안영동 284-1번지 일대에서 늑구의 실체를 명확히 확인하며 포획 작전은 급물살을 탔다.
17일 0시를 기점으로 작전은 정점으로 치달았다. 0시 15분경 마취 준비를 마친 구조팀은 늑구의 위치를 확인 후 접근을 시도했다. 0시 32분 수의사가 현장에 도착해 최종 상태를 점검했으며, 7분 뒤인 0시 39분 마취총 투입이 성공적으로 이루어졌다.
