【충북 브레이크뉴스】김봉수 기자=음성군보건소는 오는 27일부터 5월 15일까지 음성군 소재 공중이용시설 금연구역 점검과 함께 금연구역 내 흡연행위 단속을 강화한다고 밝혔다.
상반기 집중 지도·단속 대상은 ‘국민건강증진법’으로 지정된 금연구역 5280개소와 ‘음성군 간접흡연 피해방지에 관한 조례’로 지정된 금연구역 586개소다.
이번 단속은 금연구역 내 흡연 행위를 근절하고, 군민의 간접흡연 피해를 예방하기 위해 금연구역 홍보와 계도를 중점으로 실시할 계획이다.
또한 음성교육지원청, 충북도청 등 유관기관과 협력해 △금연구역 표지판 또는 스티커 부착 여부 △금연구역 내 흡연실 설치 기준 준수 여부 △금연구역 내 흡연 행위(전자담배 등 신종담배 포함) 등을 집중 점검하며, 위반 사항 적발 시에는 과태료를 부과할 예정이다.
아울러 보건소는 이동금연클리닉 운영, 금연상담 및 니코틴 보조제 지원 등 다양한 금연 지원 서비스를 지속적으로 제공해 흡연자의 자발적인 금연 참여를 유도할 계획이다.
구미숙 보건소장은 “이번 공중이용시설 금연구역 합동 지도·점검을 통해 군민 모두가 쾌적하고 건강한 금연 환경을 누릴 수 있도록 노력하며 간접흡연으로부터 자유로운 음성군 실현을 위해 최선을 다하겠다”고 말했다.
