‘당연한 일상, 모두가 누릴 수 있도록 해야'

[브레이크뉴스=양영석 기자] 김해시는 17일 김해학생체육관과 연지공원 일원에서 제46회 장애인의 날 기념행사를 개최했다.

김해시장애인단체연합회 주관으로 열린 이번 행사는 장애 유무와 관계없이 누구나 일상의 권리를 보장받아야 한다는 의미를 담은 ‘당연한 일상, 모두가 누릴 수 있도록’ 슬로건 아래 장애인과 가족, 시민 등 900여 명이 참석한 가운데 열렸다. 

식전행사로 발달장애인 밴드 ‘G-CAP’, 도란보호작업시설의 ‘손빛 하모니’, 김해시장애인부모회 ‘새솔앙상블’의 문화공연이 펼쳐져 큰 박수를 받았다. 

기념식에서는 장애인 인권헌장 낭독과 복지 증진 유공자 표창 등이 이어졌다. 특히 참석자들이 함께 구호를 외치며 메시지를 완성한 카드섹션 퍼포먼스는 현장을 감동으로 물들였다.

양한교 장애인단체연합회장은 인사말에서 “오랜 숙원이었던 휠체어 버스 ‘가야나래’가 힘차게 달리기 시작해 매우 기쁘다”며 “가야나래는 단순한 이동수단을 넘어 우리가 세상 속으로 나아가 꿈을 펼치는 희망의 날개가 될 것”이라고 밝혔다. 

이어 “연대의 힘으로 ‘당연한 일상’이 우리 곁에 온전히 자리 잡길 소망한다”고 덧붙였다.

Gimhae City Holds Commemorative Event for the 46th Day of Persons with Disabilities

On the 17th, Gimhae City held the commemorative event for the 46th Day of Persons with Disabilities at the Gimhae Student Gymnasium and Yeonji Park.

Organized by the Gimhae Federation of Organizations for Persons with Disabilities, the event took place under the slogan “A Natural Daily Life Must Be Enjoyed by Everyone,” embodying the meaning that everyone, regardless of disability, should be guaranteed the rights to daily life. Approximately 900 people, including persons with disabilities, their families, and citizens, attended the event.

The pre-ceremony events featured cultural performances by the developmental disability band “G-CAP,” “Sonbit Harmony” from the Doran Sheltered Workshop, and the “Saesol Ensemble” from the Gimhae Association of Parents of Persons with Disabilities, receiving enthusiastic applause.

The commemorative ceremony included the reading of the Charter of Human Rights for Persons with Disabilities and the awarding of commendations to those who contributed to the promotion of welfare. In particular, a card section performance in which attendees chanted slogans together to complete a message filled the venue with emotion.

In his opening remarks, Yang Han-kyo, President of the Federation of Disabled Persons’ Organizations, stated, “I am very happy that the wheelchair bus ‘Gayanarae,’ a long-cherished dream, has begun its vigorous journey.” He added, “Gayanarae will go beyond being a mere means of transportation and become wings of hope that allow us to step out into the world and spread our dreams.”

He further added, “I hope that through the power of solidarity, a ‘natural daily life’ will fully take root in our lives.”
