박 예비후보는 16일 정책 발표를 통해 외동과 양남을 연결하는 국도 14호선과 지방도 904호선의 중첩 구간을 하나의 통합 터널로 구축하겠다고 밝혔다.
그는 “중복 구간을 통합 설계하면 약 500억 원의 예산을 절감하고 공사 기간도 1년 이상 단축할 수 있다”며 “이 같은 행정 혁신이 남경주 SMR 국가산업단지 후보지의 최종 승인으로 이어질 핵심 열쇠가 될 것”이라고 강조했다.
박 예비후보는 터널 개통으로 향상되는 접근성을 바탕으로 양남산업단지를 미래형 복합산업단지로 육성하겠다는 구상도 제시했다.
그는 “기존 생산시설 중심의 산업단지에 민간 자본을 유치해 실내 수영장과 멀티플렉스 영화관 등을 갖춘 복합 랜드마크 센터를 조성하겠다”며 “양남 주민들이 경주시내나 울산으로 이동하지 않고도 지역 내에서 수준 높은 문화생활을 누릴 수 있도록 하겠다”고 말했다.
이어 “도로라는 기반은 시가 마련하고, 번영의 성과는 민간이 만들어가도록 해 시 재정 부담은 최소화하고 주민 행복은 극대화하겠다”며 “준비된 경제시장으로서 실질적인 성과를 보여드리겠다”고 밝혔다.
