그는 또 “문경은 지금 지역소멸 위기를 극복하고 경제 활력을 되찾아야 하는 중요한 시점에 서 있다”며 “30여 년간 쌓아온 행정 전문가로서의 경험과 중앙·광역 네트워크를 총동원해 문경을 다시 뛰게 만들 적임자가 누구인지 시민들께서 현명하게 판단해주실 것으로 믿는다”고 말했다.
