최 예비후보는 “의료는 선택이 아니라 군민 누구나 누려야 할 기본권”이라며 “AI 기술을 활용해 의료 접근성과 돌봄의 질을 동시에 높이겠다”고 밝혔다.

또 질병 발생 이후 치료 중심에서 벗어나 데이터 기반 예방의료 체계로의 전환도 추진한다. 웨어러블 기기와 생활 데이터를 활용해 건강 상태를 상시 관리하고, 고령 인구 비중이 높은 지역 특성에 맞춘 맞춤형 서비스도 확대할 방침이다.
아울러 정부의 AI 의료 정책과 연계해 원격 협진과 데이터 기반 의료를 활성화하고 관련 규제 개선에도 적극 나설 계획이다. 보건복지부와 과학기술정보통신부 등 범부처 협력 사업에 참여해 의성을 국가 AI 의료 실증 지역으로 육성하고, 국비 중심 재원 확보를 통해 군 재정 부담도 줄이겠다는 전략이다.
