음성군 청년정책위원회는 청년정책 관련 부서장, 청년정책 전문가, 청년단체 활동가 등 총 22명으로 구성됐으며, 2년의 임기 동안 지역 청년의 목소리를 대변하고 실질적인 청년정책 추진을 위한 심의·조정 역할을 수행한다.
이번 회의에서는 올해 재구성된 위원 18명에게 위촉장을 수여했다. 이어 부위원장을 선출하고 2026년 음성군 청년정책 시행계획(안)을 심의하는 한편 추진 방향을 논의했으며, 제2차 음성군 청년정책 기본계획 수립 연구용역 착수 보고도 진행됐다.
특히 음성군 청년지원의 거점 공간인 ‘청년대로’를 중심으로 △창업·취업·동아리 지원 △문화프로그램 운영 △고민상담소 운영 △1인가구청년 모임 등 청년 지원사업이 성과를 내고 있는 만큼, 청년 유형별 맞춤형 정책의 다양성을 어떻게 확보해 나갈지도 현안으로 다뤄졌다.
군은 지난해 수요자 체감도가 높은 청년 역량 강화와 청년 커뮤니티 활성화에 중점을 뒀다.
올해는 군으로 유입된 청년들의 안정적인 지역 정착과 기존 청년들의 지속적인 지역 정주를 위한 지원체계 강화에 초점을 맞춰 △문화복지(5개) △취창업(10개) △주거경제(10개) △참여네트워크(4개) 등 총 4개 분야에서 29개 정책사업에 200억원의 예산을 투입할 방침이다.
시행계획에 반영된 분야별 신규 사업으로는 문화·복지 분야에 ‘일상돌봄서비스’, 취업·창업 분야에 ‘청년 면접복장 지원’, ‘청년농업인 스마트팜 기반 조성’ 그리고 주거·경제 분야에 ‘청년 가전 지원’, 참여·네트워크 분야에 ‘청년마을 활성화 지원’ 등이 포함됐다.
그리고 변화된 정책 환경을 반영하고 중장기 관점의 실효성 있는 분야별 실천 과제를 발굴하기 위한 2027~2031년 5개년의 제2차 청년정책 기본계획 수립 연구용역에 착수해 이에 대한 연구 방향도 논의됐다.
군 관계자는 “음성군 청년정책위원회가 음성군 청년정책의 발전을 견인하고, 청년이 머물고 싶은 지역 환경 조성에 중요한 역할을 할 것으로 기대된다”며 “앞으로도 지속적인 정책 발굴과 함께 청년이 직접 참여하고 제안하는 정책 구조를 강화해 나가겠다”고 말했다.
