【충북 브레이크뉴스】임창용 기자=충북 괴산군은 한국교통안전공단 상주교통안전체험교육센터에서 열린 교통문화지수 우수·개선 지방정부 시상식에서 국토교통부 장관상을 수상했다고 17일 밝혔다.
교통문화지수는 국토교통부가 매년 전국 229개 기초지자체를 대상으로 운전행태, 보행행태, 교통안전 3개 평가 영역을 조사, 지자체별 교통문화 수준을 객관적으로 평가하여 공표하는 지수다.
군은 운전행태(88.72점), 교통안전(21.35점), 보행행태(17.57점) 등 총 88.72점을 획득하며 전국 80개 군(郡) 단위 지자체 중 1위를 차지했다.
특히, △안전띠 착용률 △인구 및 도로연장 당 보행자 사상자 수 항목 등에서 전국 상위권을 차지하여 우수한 평가를 받았다.
