【충북 브레이크뉴스】임창용 기자=충청북도교육청은 17일, 북카페양림 회의실에서 도내 공·사립 특수학교장을 대상으로 <특수학교 리더그룹 연찬회>를 운영했다.
특수학교 리더그룹 연찬회는 매년 특수학교 교장·교감을 대상으로 충북 특수교육의 현안 과제를 논의하고, 미래 특수교육의 발전 방향을 공유하기 위해 추진되고 있다.
특수학교는 학생의 다양성이 크고 학교 구성원의 직종 또한 다양해 운영 과정에서 갈등 상황과 어려움이 발생할 수 있어, 이를 고려한 학교장의 리더십이 중요하게 요구되고 있다.
이번 연찬회는 학교장들이 현장의 고민을 공유하고 특수학교의 바람직한 운영 방향을 모색할 수 있도록 마련됐다. 이날 연찬회에서는 <학교 리더십으로 특수학교를 학습공동체로 만들기>를 주제로 수업디자인연구소 김현섭 소장의 특강이 진행됐다.
특강에서는 다양한 유형의 장애학생에게 적합한 교육환경 조성을 위해 학교 구성원 간 협력 방안을 중심으로 의견을 나누었으며, 특수학교 현장의 특수성을 반영한 실질적 리더십 구현과 협력적 학교문화 조성의 중요성을 공유하는 시간이 됐다.
연찬회에 참석한 학교장들은 “특수학교의 다양성이 학교 발전의 강점으로 이어질 수 있도록 함께 고민하고 논의할 수 있었던 뜻깊은 시간이었다.”라고 소감을 밝혔다.
김영순 창의특수교육과장은 “지난해까지 특수학교장으로 근무하며 같은 고민을 해왔던 만큼 오늘의 논의가 충북 특수교육의 더 나은 미래를 만드는 밑거름이 되길 바란다.”라며 “앞으로도 현장과 지속적으로 소통하며 함께 힘을 모아 나가겠다.”라고 말했다.
